Nairobi National Park starts seven kilometres from the centre; Ol Donyo Sabuk and the Mount Longonot crater are an hour or so away; Lake Nakuru, Aberdare and Mount Kenya are two to three hours north, and Amboseli four hours south. All are sold as day or overnight trips. The dry seasons, January to February and June to October, give the best game viewing.
