Largest national parks in Tanzania
Tanzania has some of the largest parks in Africa. Nyerere, formed in 2019 from the northern Selous, covers more than 30,000 square kilometres, Ruaha over 20,000 since its extension in 2008, and the Serengeti nearly 15,000. Mkomazi and Mikumi are an order of magnitude smaller. In parks of this size, where your camp is located matters more than which park you choose, because you will see only one corner of it.
