Entry has been free since the temple admission charges were dropped in 2023. Seoraksan, on the east coast near Sokcho, is the most dramatic, with a cable car to Gwongeumseong, Ulsanbawi rock and the Biseondae valley, and is the standard overnight trip from Seoul.
