Los Glaciares, in Santa Cruz, is the largest national park in Argentina, 7,269 square kilometres, nearly half of it under the ice of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Nahuel Huapi, around Bariloche, is a close second, and the new Ansenuza park, mostly the waters of Mar Chiquita, third. Los Alerces and Talampaya, both World Heritage sites, follow.
