Kaeng Krachan, on the Burmese border west of Hua Hin, is the largest national park in Thailand at 2,915 square kilometres, and part of a forest complex listed as World Heritage in 2021. Khao Yai, the oldest, is second, and Khao Sok, Mu Ko Chang and Erawan follow among the parks in the catalogue. The marine parks are large on paper too, but most of their area is open sea.
